Unlock your child's inner creativity and wellness with our fun and interactive creative movement and yoga classes. These classes are designed to foster self-expression, flexibility, and mindfulness through playful poses, imaginative exploration, and breath-awareness exercises.
Meet our Teachers:
Karen Danello: Creative Movement & Christian Yoga
Karen Danello is a physically fit fitness professional with an outgoing personality. She has more than 24+ years of experience planning, developing, and implementing children’s fitness and dance programs. She is a fitness Instructor at the DBC Fitness Center and enjoys working with students of all ages. In addition, Karen is the founder, president, and director of On Your Toes, Inc. A source for Children’s dance, yoga, and gymnastics programs. We are excited to have her be a part of our DSA team as she exhibits a positive and enthusiastic personality with her students and makes a difference in the health of her students.
Keely Wallace: Cheer!
Keely grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where she cheered for 12 years. Both on and off competition teams as well as school teams. Ms. Wallace obtained a communications degree from Alabama State University in 2019. In 2020, she received her master's at Georgia State University with a Degree in Global Hospitality Management. She currently works at WGTA TV as a Media Coordinator. After accomplishing her collegiate goals, Ms. Wallace returned to the Cheer world and has been a cheer competition coach for the Murphy Chandler Colts. She also coaches the Dunwoody Christian School Lions cheer team throughout the school year. She has loved the cheer community all her life and cannot wait to see it prosper at DSA.
Jasmine Little: Cheer!
Jasmine was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and attended the University of West Alabama, where she obtained a degree in Psychology. Her love for cheer and dance has been a constant throughout her life, and she has made it her mission to share that love with others. Jasmine's extensive background in cheer and dance led her to dance professionally for two seasons as a Glad's Girl representing the Atlanta Gladiators hockey team, serving as team captain her second season. Jasmine's passion for cheer and dance is not just limited to her professional career. During business hours, Jasmine serves as the Business Manager and Cheer Coach at Dunwoody Christian School. Over the years, she has helped numerous students hone their dance and cheer skills and has been instrumental in shaping them into confident and enthusiastic performers. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Jasmine is known for her vibrant personality and her passion for cheer and dance. She is so excited to join the team and be a part of the DSA Cheer family and looks forward to a great season!.
Class Information
Our courses begin the week of September 16th, 2024, and our schedule consists of 30 weekly lessons throughout the given school year. Students may enroll for a particular 6-week session or for the entire year. Our 6-week session courses are offered throughout the school year, where new material is introduced in each session. For more details about student carpooling, drop-off, and pick-up, please read the "Class Location" section below.
Our DSA Cheer Athletics program is a 8-week course that consists of two weekly classes. In addition, our cheer course will perform in a Spring Recital at the end of the school year. This year our recital will be on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at 11 am.

DSA Cheer Athletics
Ages: 7yrs+ / 2-hours class / Meets Mon & Thurs at 6pm - 8pm / starting March 17th, 2025
Get ready to tumble, stunt, and soar with our new Cheer course! This 8-week program is designed for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading, from basic stunts to advanced tumbling passes. Our experienced instructors will guide your child in developing their strength, flexibility, and teamwork skills, all while having a blast with new friends. Uniform
All students can wear a Plain white shirt with athletic blue or black shorts and Tennis shoes.

Creative Movement Classes
A) Little Creative Movement
Ages: 3 - 5yrs old / 45-min class
Meets Tues at 1:30pm - 2:15pm/ 6-week sessions
B) Creative Movement
Ages: 5 - 7yrs old / 45-min class
Meets Tues at 3pm - 3:45pm/ 6-week sessions
C) Creative Movers!
Ages: 6 - 12yrs old / 45-min class
Meets Tues at 4pm - 4:45pm/ 6-week sessions
Children have truly wonderful Imaginations! One of the best ways to stimulate their creativity is by getting them up and moving through exciting and fun activities such as Freeze Dance, which includes shapes, animals, the alphabet, colors, and much more! This class meets in the Preschool Rally Room (please see the map below). For our Little Creative Movement course, if your child attends DBP's Extended Day Program, then our DSA Staff will pick them up from their Extended Day classroom, take them to class, and return them in time for your carpool pick-up in the main hallway. For our other movement courses, please drop off your child(ren) at the North Main Entrance (DBP Carpool) 5 minutes before class and pick them up 5 minutes after class. Click here to register.

Let's create an environment where young learners can use both mind and body to find a place in the world in which they live. The principles of Yoga teach kids kindness, sharing, compassion, mindfulness, awareness, and much more. Tools that will serve them for the rest of their lives! Adding a sense of play into their Yoga class allows kids to let loose, be silly, and have fun. This class meets in the Little Rally room. Please know that drop-off & pick-up will be at the North Main Entrance, 5 minutes before class and 5 mins after class. To register, click the titles below:

This year, our Courses will be held throughout our DBC campus. If your child attends DBP's Extended Day Program, then our DSA Staff will pick them up from their Extended Day classroom, and return them in time for your carpool pick-up in the main hallway. However, if your child is registered for our Beginning Combo Course & our Little Ballerinas Course, then our DSA Staff will pick them up from their Extended Day classroom, dress them, take them to their dance class, and you will be responsible for picking them up outside of their classrooms (please see map below; signs will be posted indicating this location).
For students who do not attend DBP or the DBP Extended Day Program, you will drop your child off and pick them up outside of their designated class entrances. Referring to the map below, our Creative Movement courses are indicated by the orange star and our Cheer! courses are indicated by the purple star, and the main entrance for our DSA Office and Family Reception Room is indicated by the red star.
Fee Structure:
For our Movement Courses, we evenly spread your tuition payments over 2 months. If you register after September 16th, 2024, your first month's tuition and registration fee(s) will be due upon registration. You have the option to submit your tuition payment in full or monthly. If you prefer to pay your tuition in full, please contact us directly at , as our system automatically enrolls you into the monthly tuition plan. You will be billed on or around the 10th of each month, September 2024 thru May 2025. Please know that we do factor in all holidays and school breaks into our tuition payments.

Registration:
Once you register for one of our classes, we consider that an agreement that you are planning to attend for the entire session or school year (Sept-May/30 weeks). Classes will be held on holidays unless indicated on our calendar.
If you register after September 16th, 2024, your first month's tuition and registration fee(s) will be due upon registration.
