๐ŸŽจ Welcome to our DSA Visual Arts Program!

Hi, my name is Cari, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for fiber arts with you. My journey began over 20 years ago, after a transformative evening at a small agriculture trade school in NC, where I discovered the magic of sheep, spinning, dyeing, and processing wool. Since then, I've been hooked, dedicating myself to learning and experimenting with various fiber arts techniques. As a fiber enthusiast and history buff, I geek out about the origins and evolution of different crafts and materials. When you join me, we'll dive into the rich history and timeless appeal of fiber arts, untangling the differences between techniques and exploring the creative possibilities. Together, we'll turn fiber and fluff into something truly special โ€“ and have a blast doing it.

๐ŸŽจ Welcome to our DSA Visual Arts Program!

I'm Shaktirupa, your instructor and guide. I'm thrilled to have you join us and can't wait to create beautiful memories and explore new skills together.

๐Ÿงต A Little About Me: Originally from India, I recently relocated to Atlanta with my family. As a wife and mom to my wonderful 6-year-old daughter, Kairavi, I bring a mix of creativity and enthusiasm to our sessions. With experience running my own art classes in India and working with corporate and HR firms, I'm excited to share my expertise with you.

๐ŸŽ“ My Educational Background:
      • Anthropology (Hons), North Orissa University, India
      • Diploma in Fine Art, Pracheen Kala Kendra, India
      • MBA in Human Resources Management, International Institute of Management Studies, Pune, India

๐ŸŒฟ When I'm not teaching, you can find me traveling, gardening, singing, or cooking โ€“ all of which inspire my art. Let's create something beautiful together!
